RIVIERA DEL BRENTA (8km):

It is famous because of its beautiful villas. The Brenta is an old river that has been turned to a navigable canal, which links Venice to Padua. In the 16th ~ 18th the Venetian nobles elected this area as a vacation resort.  Some of the more than 100 villas that are reflected in the Brenta canal can be visited (as Villa Nazionale Pisani and Villa Rossi in Stra, Villa Widman Foscari and the "La Barchessa" Valmarana in Mira, Villa Ferretti Angeli in Dolo and Villa Foscari in Malcontenta).

VENICE (9km):

Surrounded by the lagoon, Venice is the most important historical centre of the Veneto region. This beautiful city is famous because of its bridges, canals, ancient palaces and the important churches as the Basilica and the Frari church; besides, the lagoon Island (Murano, Burano and Torcello) are easily reachable.

PADUA (29km):

This ancient city of the Roman period is rich in Medieval and Renaissance monuments; the most important sightseeing of the city are the Basilica of St. Anthony. Not to be missed: the Santa Giustina church, Prato della Valle, the University, the historical "Caffè Pedrocchi", the well-known Piazza delle Erbe and Palazzo della Ragione.

TREVISO (25km):

This historical centre is famous because of the river Sile and the small canals which pass through the city and under the houses, moving the watermills and offering some unforgettable views. Visit the typical island of fish shop and enjoy the Medieval and Renaissance palaces and their fasades with wonderful frescos. Do not miss the boundary walls (made in the Fifteenth century), full of monumental gates.

CHIOGGIA (45/50km):

Chioggia is a lively, busy seaside town that has history oozing out every stone. It was founded by the Romans and was the second most important town in the Venetian Republic. It has a very unusual appearance: it is cut up into ribbons by canals and is linked together by bridges. Its alleys or "calli" radiate outwards from the main square, in classic herring bone fashion.

ASOLO / BASSANO (50/60km):

A short trip through the Venetian country leads you to Asolo, wonderful Medieval village on the top of a hill, where you can visit the Queen Caterina Cornaro's castle, the fortress, the Villas, the steep arcades, the Eleonora Duse's and poet Robert Browning's houses. Asolo is well-known as the town of the 100 horizons, because of the beauty of its views. Close to Asolo is Bassano, famous because of its "Ponte degli Alpini", designed by Palladio.
